       Monarchs Rosa

Rosa is a dream come true, made only better because she thinks she is human. We were always her choice companions. From the day she was born she would nicker and run to us every time she saw us.

Rosa in September as she won her first halter class at the Audubon show.

Rosa won 1st in her class at the 99 Fort Dodge Arab show an1st in her class and Reserve Champion Part bred at the 99 Mason City Arab show and 3 Halter Grand Championships & First in her color class under all 4 judges at the 1999  Spencer Fall Pinto Show, and Reserve Champion of the Part Breds at the 1999 Audubon Arab Show.

2000 was a very good year for Rosa. May 6th-I showed Rosa at the "Spring Into Pinto Show" at Fremont Nebraska.  She got one 1st and Grand Champion and one 2nd and Reserve Champion.

June 10th & 11th-Rosa won three 1st and Grand champions and one 2nd and Reserve Championship in halter and 2-2nds and 2-3rds in Tobiano color at the "Min-I-Kota Summer Fun Show" at Spencer.

July 8th and 9th Rosa, shown by Refection farm, won 2nd in halter and 2nd in tobiano color at the "Star of the North Area Championship Show" held at Windom MN. 

July 29th Rosa got 3rd in halter at the "Pinto Sampler Show"  in Wilmar,  MN.

August 18th, Rosa's Register of Merit certificate was awarded by the Pinto Horse Association of America.

August 18th -20th, I met Reflection Farm at Windom for the "August Extravagansa Show". I showed Rosa in Halter, She got a 2nd and Reserve Champion, a 3rd, a 4th and a 5th, and Tobiano Color, where she got a 2nd and a 4th, and Annie showed her in Green Horse Walk  Trot to 4-1st places

Aug. 26th-27th I took Rosa to Spencer IA for the "Min-I-Kota August Heat Wave" show. Rosa won three 2nds and reserves at Halter and a 1st and a 2nd in Green Horse Walk Trot

2001 another excellent year for Rosa.

Rosa won 3 First  places and Grand Champions and 1 Second place and Reserve Champion  in Halter and 1 First, 2 Seconds    and a 4th in Tobiano Color at the Min-I-Kota Spring Pinto show at Spencer May 19th and 20th.

Rosa won 2nd place in part Arab halter mares at the "Drinkers of the Wind" Show held at Fort Dodge June 10th

We went up to Neveda, IA The weekend of July 14th and 15th.  Rosa won 2nd in halter on Sat.  Sunday she won 1st in halter and Grand Champion of the Partbreds.

July 29th Rosa and I went into the Crawford County fair to show in their open show against all the Quarterhorses and Paints. I was very happy when we won the halter class for 2 and 3 year old mares and placed 3rd in the walk trot class.

Aug. 4th at the IAHA Open Fun Show in Marshalltown IA Rosa placed 3rd in the Half Arab Halter Class.

The week end of Aug. 25 and 26 Rosa and I went to Spencer for the Min-K-Kota Pinto Show.  Rosa won 2nd and Reserve Champion and a 4th in Halter, and a 2nd and 6th in tobiano color on Sat. And 2 third placings in halter and a 2nd and 3rd in tobiano color on Sunday

September 9th at the Audubon T Bone Show,  Rosa won 1st place in the Part Bred Fillies and Mares.  In the Part bred Championship Class Rosa was Reserve Champion. Then after all their purebred halter classes they had a Supreme Halter Champion Class for the whole show.  Rosa won 3rd over all the purebreds there. It was a good ending to the 2001 show season.

Rosa won several year end awards this year.

Iowa A.H.A. High Point Reserve Champion Non-IAHA Sanctioned Division Half -Arabian Horse

This year Rosa spent in the pasture raising her homozgous colt foaled May 9th.  We brought them into the barn the 1st week in August to halter train Waheed Khemotion and get him ready for the Min-I-Kota Furturity August 24th. Rosa was entered in the pleasure mares all ages class and with her big belly and worry about where her unweaned baby was she still received a 2nd and Reserve Champion under one judge and 2- 4th places and a 5th.

Rosa was grand Champion Mare at the Northern Minnesota Pintabian show in 2003 and 2004.

Rosa won 1st place in Halter in the Pintabian mares, Arab and part Arab Mares, and 2nd in the Pinto all ages and sexes class at the Red River Valley Fair Get Together show in North Fargo, North Dakota in 2005.
